What is DVB-HTML?

DVB-HTML 1.0 is based on XHTML 1.0 standard, a reformulation of HTML 4 as an application of XML (version 1.0). DVB-HTML is part of the Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) Specification 1.1. Content format of the ORTIKON ACEŽ Browser is a subset of DVB-HTML 1.0. Note!

There are some fundamental differences between the XML based strict XHTML and various versions of HTML. Thus it is highly recommended to read through the "Guidelines For Creating DVB-HTML Content" -document before creating DVB-HTML content, even though you would be familiar with some versions of HTML. You get this document by registration from www.ortikon.com. The differences between HTML and XHTML include e.g. well-formedness requirement and case sensitivity of XML/XHTML syntax.
